ઊ

ઊ represents a long "u" sound in Gujarati, compared to ઉ, which is short. It gives a deeper, extended vowel sound. When combined with consonants, it changes form into a diacritic (matra) – written as ૂ, as in પૂજા (pūjā – worship).
